[A New Year Message] “If it’s got to be, it’s up to me.”
Now that you’re here, take a seat. We’ve got to talk.
I see you’re pregnant with resolutions, promises, and great expectations The scans confirm this.
The doctors say your date may vary – anytime from January to November. I have no problem with that. My sole concern is THIS: ensuring you carry the pregnancy to term and deliver the resolutions successfully – no abortion, no miscarriage, no stillborn.
Of course, there will be challenges: tantrums, kicks, turns, cravings, aches and delivery pains. You know that. I know that. The good thing though is this: we are going to have to be strong enough to push through the pains. You know why?. Because, on the other side of those pains are the sweet promises to which we all look forward – the fruits of our resolutions.
My resolve is simple: if you’re going to carry this pregnancy to term and deliver it successfully, it’s up to me to help you make it happen. To schedule doctor’s appointments, to take walks with you, to install success rituals, and to say ‘no’ to limiting habits. Basically, to do the work. To move. So that God can move.
You say that sounds like a fair deal?
I think so too. So, what are we waiting for?
2014 awaits. Let’s make it count.
Happy new year.
